Hello and thank you for booking into my class!
I am a native of Boyle, Co. Roscommon so I am delighted to be sharing my skills to help all you festival-goers to get a stretch and strengthen session in at Night and Day festival.
My morning class will give you a chance to loosen up any of those muscles or joints that may have stiffened up from your tent sleeps, and prepare you for the dancing ahead!
About my class:
It will be an invigorating morning class with a flow of gentle stretching and core activation exercises. The aim is to wake up the senses with a warm up, and slowly build up the tempo to set your energy levels up for a day of play and music at Lough Key.
It is suitable for beginners, and also those who have done Pilates before.
I take a holistic approach by teaching Pilates as a form of movement that empowers the person to tune in to their own body. I will guide you to help heal yourself through safe, measured exercise.
Pre-existing medical conditions or injuries won't necessarily prevent you benefiting from Pilates, and I can offer adaptations to exercises and moves to accommodate specific needs. Even so, any physical exercise carries the risk of injury, so it is important to check that Pilates is right for you. Before commencing any Pilates class you may wish to consult with your GP or consultant to ensure that it is right for you at the moment.
What to Bring:
-An exercise mat/blanket
-Some layers (your body temperature may fluctuate during exercise)
