2025 DC Coding STEM Odyssey MC Volunteer Application Form

This form is for MC Volunteer Applicants Only. University students are preferred.
DC Coding is looking for passionate MCs (emcee) to help us lead the 2025 STEM Odyssey Event that DC Coding is hosting on June 28th at the UBC Alumni Centre. Info about last year's event can be found at https://dccoding.ca/2024-stem-odyssey.

You will be leading the stage and introducing the event details, workshops, stations, learning opportunities and more to the audience. You will be the host of our event, and we would like candidates that are engaging, confident, and delivers a smooth and loud speech, which should be simple and straight-forwarded. If you are interested, and have experience in writing scripts, delivering speeches, interacting with the audience and more, please fill out the application form with a sample video from your previous MC experience.

Date & Time: June 28, 2025. 11 AM - 5 PM

Venue: Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre, UBC Vancouver Campus

Qualifications

- Preferably have prior experience in being an MC or hosting events
- Excellent public speaking and communication skills
- Engaging and confident
- Excellent in writing scripts

University students and DC Coding volunteer staff are preferred and will be given first priority.
