Sugar Rush Cottage — Terms & Conditions
We’re all about spreading joy through sweet treats, but a smooth ordering experience starts with clear expectations. Please read through the following policies before placing your order. Submitting an order means you agree to these terms.
💌 Quotes & Payments
- You’ll receive your custom quote via email within 48 hours of your inquiry.
- Orders under $50 require full payment upfront to reserve your spot. Venmo is preferred: @eistorm419 (last 4 digits: 7441).
- Orders over $50 require a 50% non-refundable deposit to lock in your date. The remaining balance is due before pickup.
- If your quote is not accepted and payment is not received within 48 hours, your date will be released.
For orders with pickup dates less than 14 days away, a fast-track fee will apply and payment is due within 24 hours.
📍 Order Pickup & Delivery
- All pickups are in St. Charles, MN, unless otherwise discussed. Exact location details will be shared once your order is confirmed.
- St. Charles (55972) is the primary pickup location, delivery can be discussed for a fee of $10 for delivery within 15 miles, $15 for delivery between 16-30 miles.
- Please arrive at your scheduled pickup time to keep things running smoothly. I work full-time and bake on a tight schedule!
- If you cannot make your pickup time, please reach out with at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule. I’ll do my best to accommodate.
- Per MN Cottage Food Laws, shipping of any sort is not allowed at this time (hopefully in 2027).
- No-call/no-shows will receive one follow-up message. If no response is received within 24 hours, the order is considered abandoned and no refund will be issued, items now become property of my Gremlins.
🎨 Custom Designs & Revisions
- You’ve got inspo pics and big ideas—I love that! I’ll help you turn your vision into something sweet and stunning.
- After your order is confirmed, major changes (like theme or quantity) must be made within 48 hours.
- After that, changes are considered on a case-by-case basis and may incur additional fees.
- All designs, details, and event dates are final 14 days before pickup.
- I do not replicate other artists’ designs but will absolutely capture the elements you love in a way that’s unique to Sugar Rush Cottage.
- Color matches are done as close as possible, but exact tones are not guaranteed.
- Each dessert is handmade, so slight variances are normal—like snowflakes, no two will be exactly the same.
📸 Sharing Content
- I love sharing my work (and that’s probably how you found me)!
- I wait at least 24 hours after pickup before posting any completed desserts online out of respect for your event timeline.
- If you prefer your order not be shared on social media, just let me know when placing your order.
🔁 Refunds, Cancellations & Rescheduling
- All deposits are non-refundable due to the custom nature of my work.
- With at least two weeks’ notice, your order can be rescheduled for another available date within 6 months.
- If your Goodies are already made and your event is postponed, they can be frozen for up to 3 months and will still taste fresh.
- If I am unable to complete your order, a full refund will be provided.
⚠️ Allergy & Dietary Notice
- All treats—including cookie cakes, cake pops, and more—are made with love, but contain common allergens: eggs, milk, soy, and wheat.
- All products are prepared in a private home kitchen where allergens like nuts, dairy, and gluten are present.
- While I take care to prevent cross-contact, I cannot guarantee allergen-free products and do not accept allergy-sensitive orders.
- Per Minnesota Cottage Food Law, these products are homemade and not subject to state inspection.
🧁 Post-Pickup Care
- Once your order leaves Sugar Rush Cottage, it becomes your responsibility.
- Keep cookies/cakepops/cakes stored in a cool, dry place—away from heat, pets, and curious kids until you’re ready to enjoy!
- Do not refrigerate frosted cookies—this can cause colors to bleed. Freezing is fine and I’m happy to provide storage instructions if needed.
- For best freshness, cakes and cupcakes should be refrigerated upon pickup. Remove from the refrigerator 1–2 hours before serving to allow them to come to room temperature for the best flavor and texture.
- Cakepops, Cookies and Cupcakes should be refridgerated if they will not be consumed within 2-3 days.
📜 Legal & Liability
- Sugar Rush Cottage is not responsible for any damage, injury, or loss once the order has been picked up or delivered.
- Sugar Rush Cottage is not liable for damage caused by anyone not employed by the business.
- All products are prepared in a private residence not subject to state inspection or licensing.
