📝 Contract Information
1. Non-Refundable Deposit
I understand and agree that my $200 deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances. This deposit secures my place in the selection order or holds a specific puppy if one has been chosen.

2. Selection Order
Puppy selections are made in the order deposits are received. If I am unavailable at my scheduled selection time and do not respond within 24 hours, I understand my place may be deferred to the end of the list.

3. Health Care
I understand that my puppy has been raised with care, including age-appropriate deworming and vaccinations. It is my responsibility to schedule necessary future veterinary exams and vaccinations after pickup and to continue regular veterinary care from that point forward.

4. Shipping & Delivery
Pickup is preferred at or near the breeder’s location in Camarillo, CA. Local delivery within Ventura County may be available by arrangement. Long-distance shipping is available through approved pet transportation services for an additional fee.

5. Early Socialization Program
I understand that this puppy has been raised in a home-based program focused on confident, family-ready puppies. This includes early neurological stimulation (ENS), early scent introduction (ESI), gentle handling, and daily interaction with children, adults, and safe adult dogs.

6. Breed Understanding & Owner Commitment
I acknowledge that this puppy comes from a working-breed lineage (Border Collie and Idaho Shag), and that these breeds thrive with mental stimulation, consistent training, and daily activity. I am committed to learning about the breed, preparing a supportive home environment, and providing continued socialization and enrichment throughout the puppy’s life.

7. Ongoing Support & Ethical Placement
Homegrown Hounds reserves the right to refuse placement if we believe it is not in the puppy’s best interest. In such cases, the deposit will be refunded. I agree to reach out to the breeder with any major concerns and will never surrender this puppy to a shelter. I understand that ongoing support is available and encouraged.
