Current Membership Cancellation Policy
30-day cancellation notice must be provided once the initial membership term is complete (or at any time with a Platinum Flex membership). Annual memberships switch to bi-weekly payments without commitment after the initial 12-month term. Upon receipt of the Termination Notice, any payments due within 30 days of receipt of the Termination Notice will be charged as scheduled, but no further payments will be processed if the cancellation request is received in accordance with the agreed-upon policies. The member will maintain access to their membership benefits for all time that they have paid for.
Memberships are unable to be cancelled within the initial membership term, with few exceptions:
10-Day Cooling-Off Period: Both Ontario and BC Consumer Protection Regulations state that members may cancel their membership within 10 days of receiving a written copy of their Membership Agreement. Members may use the club and amenities during this time, however should they provide appropriate Termination notice with the 10 days, the membership will be cancelled with all membership dues returned.
[BC ONLY] Material Change in Circumstance: If a material change occurs in a member's personal circumstances, a member may be able to cancel their membership while still in their initial membership term. For this purpose, a “material change” includes:
Moving your residence to a location that is more than 30 KM away from the nearest Club location, or
Suffering a physical, medical or mental disability, substantiated in writing by a medical practitioner, or nurse practitioner, that results in continued participation of our services or facilities being unreasonable due to likely risk to your health.
Should a member discontinue their membership as a result of a material change, any fees owed for services rendered prior to cancellation must be paid in full. The membership will be cancelled immediately upon receipt of both the Termination Notice and Proof of Material Change.
