2025 Press Application

Please read the following information carefully before proceeding with the application process.
NOT ALL APPLICATIONS WILL BE APPROVED.

Complimentary press tickets and press/photo passes are limited.

If you are affiliated with radio, please do not apply using this form.

Applicants will be notified approximately one-three weeks following the completion date of this form.

An editor’s letter (emailed by the editor from an official publication email address to press@americanamusic.org) is required for all affiliated freelance photographers and writers. We will not accept ANY applications from freelance photographers or writers who are not officially on assignment for a publication. We will not be accepting applications from filmmakers.

Publications will have access to the festival photographers' pictures following the festival. For photos the week of our festival, please visit GETTY Images.

We have three tiers for media credentials that you may apply for below:
Please note that you and your outlet may be approved for a different credential than what is requested.

Press Access Tiers
- Festival Pass - grants festival access to nightly showcases and select special events in multiple venues across Nashville
- Silver Pass - admission to nightly showcases and conference access including daytime industry panels at The Embassy Suites Nashville Downtown, plus special events across town
- Silver Pass + 1 Honors & Awards Ticket - admission to nightly showcases and conference access including daytime industry panels at The Embassy Suites Nashville Downtown, plus special events across town + admits one press member into our award show at the Ryman on September 10
We will inform you of the level for which you are approved upon the decision letter for your application.

Unfortunately, due to fire code, press credentials do not guarantee access to the showcase venues if they are already at capacity. Please arrive early to any events you are interested in covering.

Our event is a community fundraiser event for the not-for-profit Americana Music Association. Please fill out all required fields. Your application will not submit without filling out all required fields. Applications with incomplete or insufficient information will be declined.

Media Policies
- Credentials will only be issued for members of the media on assignment. No guests will be permitted.
- Video of showcases and special events is allowed for SOCIAL MEDIA USE ONLY. No professional cameras are allowed for filming, including DSLRs.
- You may use footage up to 60 seconds, but footage of full performances is strictly prohibited.
- NO footage of panels is allowed.
- Certain venues may restrict photo/video usage. Press must abide the venue policy.
- Media must display credentials at all times.
- Members of the media are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous and professional manner at all times. Those not adhering to festival policies may be asked to surrender their credentials and leave festival grounds.
- AMERICANAFEST issues credentials for legitimate journalistic use only. Photos, interviews and reviews are NOT authorized for personal or commercial use and such use is a violation of access issued by our festival.
If you are selected to cover the event, AMERICANAFEST will contact you by September 2 with check-in and specific media instructions.
