  • Kettlebell Sport Austria Open 2026

    While the city is welcoming the Eurovision Song Contest, another exciting competition is coming to Vienna as well: a Kettlebell Sport competition bringing together athletes and enthusiasts of the sport. Whether you are an experienced lifter or simply passionate about kettlebells, everyone is welcome to join and compete. Below you can find the disciplines that will be part of the competition.     Format: In-Person or Video Submission

    To make the competition accessible to as many athletes as possible, we offer several special options. Video submissions are available at a lower regular price, giving everyone the chance to participate even if they cannot travel to Vienna.

    Kids up to 14 years (2012 and younger) can compete for free, and young athletes up to 18 years (2008 and younger) receive a 50% discount on the entry fee.

    • Standard entry fee: 45 Euros
    • Video submission fee: 30 Euros
    • Every additional disciplines: 20 Euros (Unfortunately, the form does not correctly calculate the additional disciplines, which is why the total amount is not correct. Please calculate it yourselves or wait until we send you the correct amount)

    Members of Kettlebell Sport Austria also receive a special member discount.

    🔔 Rising Bell: For athletes starting their competition journey. More relaxed judging.

    🛡️ Iron Bell: For athletes ready for the full competition experience.

    🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Age Groups 
    U18 – Girls / Boys 
    Open – Women / Men (18–49 years)
    Veteran – Women / Men (50+ years)

    🧮 Weight Classes and scoring 
    Scoring is based on TOKCC coefficients, considering athlete bodyweight, age, and kettlebell weight. 

    Weight caps (if you weigh over these limits, then you only these numbers will get used in the coefficient):

    • MALE Max =100kg
    • FEMALE Max = 75kg

                  Two Arm Long Cycle (TALC)

                  The Two-Arm Long Cycle is a classic kettlebell sport movement combining a clean and jerk performed with two kettlebells simultaneously. Athletes bring the bells from the swing into the rack position and then drive them overhead, repeating the cycle for time while maintaining efficiency and endurance.


                  It is one of the fundamental disciplines of kettlebell sport and develops strength, technique, and cardiovascular capacity. 💪

                  Snatch

                  The Snatch is a dynamic kettlebell sport movement where the kettlebell is lifted in one continuous motion from the swing directly overhead. The exercise emphasizes efficiency, rhythm, and endurance as athletes perform many repetitions over a set time.


                  It is a core discipline of kettlebell sport and develops explosive power, grip strength, and cardiovascular endurance. 💪

                  Jerk

                  The Jerk is a classic kettlebell sport movement performed with two kettlebells starting in the rack position. Athletes use a powerful leg drive to propel the bells overhead and then return them to the rack position for the next repetition.


                  The movement focuses on efficient technique, timing, and endurance, making it one of the key disciplines in kettlebell sport. 💪

                  Biathlon

                  Biathlon is one of the classic competition formats in kettlebell sport. It consists of two separate events: the Jerk and the Snatch. Athletes first perform the jerk with two kettlebells, followed by the snatch with one kettlebell after a rest period.


                  The final score is based on the total number of repetitions, combining strength, technique, and endurance across both disciplines. 💪

                  Quarter Marathon

                  The Marathon is an endurance discipline in kettlebell sport where athletes perform a chosen kettlebell movement continuously for 15 minutes (quarter) without setting the bell down. Multiple switches allowed. Lifts include the snatch, jerk, or long cycle.


                  The goal is to achieve the highest number of repetitions while maintaining efficient technique, rhythm, and endurance throughout the entire set.

                  Mini Pentathlon

                  The Mini Pentathlon is a fast-paced kettlebell sport format consisting of five disciplines performed in sequence. Each exercise is completed for 3 minutes of work followed by 2 minutes of rest before moving to the next lift.

                  The disciplines are: Clean, Clean & Press, Jerk, Half Snatch, and Push Press.


                  This format tests strength, endurance, and versatility across multiple kettlebell movements, making it an exciting challenge for athletes and a great introduction to multi-discipline kettlebell competitions. 💪

                  Double Pentathlon

                  The Double Pentathlon is a demanding kettlebell sport format performed with two kettlebells across five disciplines. Each exercise is completed for 3 minutes of work followed by 3 minutes of rest before moving to the next lift.

                  The disciplines are: Double Clean, Double Clean & Press, Double Jerk, Double Half Snatch, and Double Push Press.

                  This format challenges athletes with a strong focus on strength, endurance, and technical consistency using double kettlebells, making it a tough and rewarding multi-discipline event. 💪
