Option 1: Engaging Mature Women in Postsecondary Education

Participants will be guided through ONECA's newly developed "Step by Step: Taking Steps to Increase my Success in Postsecondary" program and facilitator materials. This program is designed to support First Nations women with taking steps to engage, and be successful in, accessing postsecondary education. Participants will learn how to utilize the program in their own communities. Breakfast, lunch, and materials will be provided.
Option 2: Quillwork with Amber Waboose
Max 10 people.
Cost: $150.00
Join Amber Waboose, Odemin Mkwaa Kwe, from Batchewana First Nation, as she guides you through a day of learning about porcupine fee quillwork. Participants will each create their own quillwork medallion or hair barrette. Breakfast, lunch, and materials provided.
Option 3: Ribbon Shirts and Skirts with Star Jamieson
Max 10 people.
Cost: $150.00
Facilitated by Star Jamieson from Beausoleil First Nation. In this workshop, participants will be supported and guided through the process of creating a ribbon skirt or ribbon shirt. If creating a shirt, participants are welcome to use one that is provided, or may bring one of their own to the session. Breakfast, lunch, and materials are provided.
