    A camp experience for schools and classrooms
  • Bayside Camp gives students in grades 3 to 7 an opportunity to make exciting memories and amazing friendships in their second language that will last a lifetime.

    The fun includes canoeing, climbing the rock wall, archery, or one of our many other exciting activities, your child is bound to have a blast at camp!

    The staff pride themselves in providing the utmost in customer service, safe environments, and fun! Our camp counselors are mature, vetted, French speaking university students.

    Camp will run in 2 ½ day sessions from June 8-19, 2026. Registration fee will be $175.00 plus HST for a total of $199.50 per student. Chaperones and teachers are free.  Registration fee includes meals, activities and accommodations while at camp. Maximum of 98 students plus 9 teachers and chaperones per session. A ratio of 1:6 is required.

    Students, teachers and chaperones will stay at the retreat centre for 2 ½ days. Groups arriving Monday morning leave Wednesday morning and groups arriving Wednesday afternoon leave Friday afternoon.

                  1. Canadian Parents for French does not tolerate bullying, inappropriate/disrespectful behavior or physical confrontation. Campers must treat each other with respect. Campers must listen to camp staff and to follow their instructions. If a camper cannot comply with this rule, teachers and chaperones will be asked to step in. If this persists, they will be asked to leave camp.
                  2. No refunds will be given after camp has started.
                  3. Canadian Parents for French is not responsible for stolen, lost or damaged personal articles.
                  4. Students are not permitted electronic devices such as Cell phones, Tablets, electronic games and handheld consoles etc. at camp. In the event that one of these devices are found, they will be confiscated and returned at the end of camp. a landline is available for emergencies.
                  5. Teachers and chaperones are responsible for dicipline and ensuring that students are speaking in French at all times. 
                  6. Some of the activities are facilitated by certified and trained facility staff who do not speak French. a French speaking counselor will be assigned to these activities and will help facilitate in French.
                  7. Each student, teacher, and chaperone must submit an electronic health form in order to attend. This is done to ensure that we are aware of allergies and dietary needs while on site
                  8. Teachers and chaperones are responsible for safely storing and administering medications for their campers.
                  9. Some chaperones will be required to sleep in cabins with campers of the same gender. Camper cabins include a seperate sleeping space for chaperones.
