Agritourism: North Carolina law Chapter 99E Article 4: There is no liability for an injury to or death of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if such injury or death results from the inherent risks of the agritourism activity. Inherent risks of agritourism activities include, among other things, risks of injury inherent to land, equipment, and animals, as well as the potential for you to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury or death. You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.
Equine Activities: Additionally, under North Carolina law, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting exclusively from the inherent risks of equine activities. Chapter 99E of the North Carolina General Statutes. NC Gen. Stat. 99E1-99E3.
Voluntary Participation: Participation in North Carolina Agritourism and Equine Activity events is voluntary and at your own risk.
Photography Statement: I understand and agree that photographers and media could be present on the farm, therefore I understand that my photo could be included in marketing materials for use by CR Equine & Kennel.
CR Equine & Kennel LLC Farm Rules:
- No speeding. Farmwide speed limit is 10mph from the Main Gate and on all driveways and parking areas.
- No smoking. Smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited anywhere including in rest rooms, trailers, inside personal vehicles when positioned on the farm from the Main Gate, on all driveways, in parking areas, porches, decks, patios, and other common areas. Smoking violations result in being asked to leave.
- Do not open any gates, doors, windows of any structure housing an animal unless at the request of CREK Staff.
- Do not enter pastures, paddocks, dog lots, dog kennels, barns, stalls, for any reason without permission accompanied by CREK Staff.
- Livestock guardian dogs are on duty, do not pet. Pet only dogs designated for petting by CREK Staff.
- Do not walk into the pond, creek. No swimming in pond, creek, or pool.
- Do not enter the Main House or enter the porches of the Main House without permission and accompanied by CREK Staff.
- Feed only CREK Staff approved treats to equines. Do not feed dogs or cats.
- Hiking, walking, trail riding, exploring the farm grounds is strictly prohibited without permission. Due to the nature of farms, fields, and woodlands, watch for holes, ditches, insects, animals, snakes, fencing, and other hazards.
- Any incident or injury that occurs while on the property is required to be reported to CREK Staff and an incident report must be completed by the injured party and CREK Staff and signed by both the participant and CREK Staff prior to participant leaving the farm.
- The black wires and the silver wires on the fences are ELECTRIFIED/HOT. Do not touch black electrical wires on fences.
