This policy outlines the guidelines for responsible and ethical use of the Veo camera at Cronulla Seagulls FC. All coaches and authorised users must sign this document before using the equipment.

1. Equipment Access & Booking

• The Veo camera may only be used by authorised coaches and team managers.
• Usage must be scheduled via the official booking calendar.
• Equipment must be returned in full working order immediately after use.

 

2. Training & Responsibility

• All users must complete a brief training session (or review the user manual/video guide).
• The camera must be securely set up and operated with care. Damage due to misuse may be the responsibility of the user.

 

3. Consent & Privacy

• Parental consent is required for all players under 18 being filmed.
• Footage must not be recorded or shared without approval from both teams involved.
• Only authorised individuals may access or share footage.

 

4. Positive Use of Footage

• Footage is a development tool and must not be used to criticise, shame, or single out children.
• Review sessions must be age-appropriate and conducted in a constructive, supportive environment.
• Any feedback should focus on learning, growth, and team play.

 

5. Social Media & Public Sharing

• No footage may be uploaded to social media or public platforms without explicit approval from the club and those filmed.
• Breach of this guideline will result in suspension from using the Veo system.

 

6. Safety & Setup

• The tripod must be placed securely.
• Users are responsible for ensuring the camera and setup do not present any safety hazards.

 

7. Accountability

• Any equipment faults or incidents must be reported immediately.

 

8. Safeguarding & Welfare

• Coaches must prioritise child safety and emotional wellbeing when using any recorded material.
• The Veo system must never be used in a way that causes distress, embarrassment, or harm to a player.
