  • Section 4 - Competition Preferences

  • Please indicate all ISU Basic Novice, Intermed Novice and Advanced  Novice  ISU International Competitions that you would attend, listing them in priority. Athletes should consider travel costs and their training plans and any potential conflicts (eg. exams). Once submitted, athletes are unable to change their mind, only accept or decline their international assignment/s.

Skaters please DO NOT sign up for events in the 2026-2027 season.  We do not have the list from the ISU for those events.  This form will be updated once the ISU list of events for the 2026-2027 season comes out in May-June 2026.

The preference list contains Advanced Novice events, skaters will need to check the announcements to see if Basic Novice and Intermediate Novice events are at the events listed below.

  • Section 5 - Athlete Contract

  • If I receive an international assignment to represent Ice Skating Australia (ISA), I agree to:

    1. Undertake pre-event training in a responsible & enthusiastic manner & if requested, provide ISA with a copy of my training schedule.
    2. Undertake a HP Review (short and free programs) prior to assignment confirmation (if required).
    3. Undergo a medical and/or injury assessment (if required by ISA CMO) for any illness or injury and supply a written report on the assessment.
    4. Submit competition entry forms to ISA by the specified due dates.
    5. Permit the email addresses provided to be included on distribution lists and similar, for the purposes of disseminating information to athletes.
    6. Observe and comply with anti-doping policies of ISA and ISU. Athletes will be added to the ASADA testing pool database.
    7. Inform ISA HP and ISA CMO of any injuries or illnesses occurring, immediately after they occur, and to keep ISA and ISA CMO fully informed regarding the injury and prognoses and whether the injury has any potential to prevent competing in events  from the assigned time until the event.
    8. Complete any forms and request made by Ice Skating Australia.
    9. Athletes will not sign or accept any funding/scholarships/sponsorship/fee for advertising/promotion or the like, from any organisation, apart from ISA, ISU or an affiliated State or figure skating Club body, without first seeking approval from ISA. ISA will in its absolute discretion decide if it will approve the funding/scholarships/sponsorship/fee for advertising/promotion or the like. For clarity, the provision of services in kind or no cost, payment of any expenses directly to the provider, including but not limited to travel, training etc….., will all be considered a form of funding/scholarships/sponsorship/fee for advertising/promotion or the like, and approval for such must be sought from ISA before it is accepted by the athlete. ISA will in its absolute discretion decide if it will allow  the funding/scholarships/sponsorship/fee for advertising/promotion or the like.
    10. All international assignments are conditional upon athletes completing, and abiding by an ISA Athlete Agreement.
    11. Athletes who do not sign a duly completed Athlete Agreement, will not be eligible to be entered in any international or ISU event.

The Agreement commences on the date the Agreement is executed and concludes 28 days after the completion of the final ISU Championship event of the season.

ISA will not enter an athlete in any international event whilst there is any outstanding debt owed to ISA by the athlete or a coach/former coach of an athlete.

ISA will not enter an athlete in an international event without first obtaining payment for any costs likely to be incurred by the athlete/athletes coach/family members travelling with the athlete to the event.

If in the view of ISA an athlete has not fully prepared for an event satisfactorily, then in its absolute discretion, ISA may cancel the athletes nomination and appoint the next ranked athlete to attend the event.

I have read and understood the above clauses and agree to abide by the content. I realise that non-adherence to these undertakings may mean withdrawal from any event to which I have been assigned.
