  • Habitat for Humanity of East and Central Pasco County is your local nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. We are part of a global movement committed to eliminating poverty housing and making decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.

    We invite people from all walks of life to come together in partnership—working side by side with individuals and families in need of safe, stable, and affordable housing.

    Since our founding in 1994, we’ve helped build and rehabilitate more than 160 homes throughout East and Central Pasco County—transforming lives and strengthening communities, one home at a time.

  • Duty of Care

    Directors and officers must perform their responsibilities in good faith and with the same care an ordinary person would use in managing his/her own affairs

    Duty of Loyalty

    Directors and officers must act in good faith and in a manner which does not harm the organization to the benefit of the director or officer. Avoid and conflicts of interest or appearances of impropriety.

    Duty of Obedience

    Directors and officers must comply with the provisions of the articles of incorporation, bylaws, and the state laws, and should safeguard Habitat’s mission and Christian witness.

  • - Monitor trends and issues affecting Habitat for Humanity of East and Central Pasco County


    - Support and advise the President/CEO as needed


    - Ensure fiscal responsibility with the board in managing and transferring funds.


    - Assist fundraising efforts by implementing strategies to secure necessary funding for programs and policies.

  • Key Responsibilities

  • - A demonstrated interest in the affiliate’s mission and goals

    - Specific experience and/or knowledge in at least one area: human resources, planning, fund raising, building, finance,community relations, or organizational operation

    - A willingness to expand knowledge of board responsibilities through orientation and ongoing education

    - A willingness to represent Habitat for Humanity of East and Central Pasco County to the community

    - Six to ten hours per month distributed among: Board meetings, committee meetings, and special events

    - Attend home dedications and/or ground breakings

    - Serve as a liaison to one of the standing committees

    - Give an annual gift according to personal means
