Here is the full lending policy and liability waiver that we will ask you to sign when you come in to pick up your gear. Please read it over so you know what you're agreeing to. The final page has details on what we charge if you lose or damage the gear, as well as late fees.
It is your job to make sure our gear is taken care of.
All gear is to be returned CLEAN and DRY. Follow the guidelines below for proper cleaning.
We ask that you always use the provided sleeping bag liner, since it is MUCH easier to wash than the sleeping bag itself.
Backpacks
• Empty all trash and personal belongings.
• Hang dry if needed.
Tents
• Remove all personal belongings.
• Sweep and shake out tent before collapsing.
• At home, air out tent to ensure it is COMPLETELY DRY.
• Return all parts to their proper bags.
Bear Canisters
• Clean out all contents.
• Hand wash with mild soap and warm water.
• Dry completely.
Bear Bags
• Clean out all contents and air out.
• If any food has gotten onto the bag, hand wash with cool water and line dry.
Cooking Pots
• Hand wash with mild soap and warm water or wash in dishwasher.
• Dry completely
Stoves
• Wipe down with a sponge using mild soap and warm water and let dry.
Headlamps
• Let staff know if the bateries need to be charged or if lights were dim.
Sleeping Bags
• At home, air out overnight.
• Stuff back into bag provided.
Sleeping Bag Liners
• At home, machine wash in cold to warm water. Tumble dry.
• Roll up and put back into bag provided. (Do your best! We know these bags can be tight. It's okay if there's a bit sticking out)
Sleeping Pads
• Spot clean.
• Dry completely
