Student Automobile Policies
Driving an automobile to school is a privilege and not a right. This privilege shall be granted only so long as the regulations regarding use of a vehicle are met.
1. The student must complete the permission and waiver form after this online form is submitted (permission and waiver forms are available in the front office).
2. The student will receive a parking permit that must be clearly displayed while parking on campus in the top corner of the windshield on the driver's side. If you should lose your permit, there is a $10 replacement fee.
3. The student obtaining such permission may carry only those passengers for whom permission has been granted by the school office. Students may not ride in the private vehicles of students going to or from the school unless an email from the parents of the student riding and the student driving, granting the student permission to do so. Students in the same family would be exempt from this.
4. As soon as students arrive at school in a vehicle driven by a student, all must leave the vehicle and come to the area designated for students to wait until school opens.
5. Students must park in the designated student parking spaces. There is to be no visiting/socializing/loitering in or around any vehicle either before, during, or after school.
6. Improper driving conduct such as speeding, reckless driving, etc., both on or off school grounds is sufficient cause for revocation of the school permit to drive on school grounds.
7. Students are not allowed to go their vehicles during the school day without an administrator's permission. Students should remove any items that might be needed before leaving their vehicles each morning.
8. Students are not allowed to drive vehicles on field trips, athletic events, or other "during school" activities where a van is being used to transport students unless permission was securited from the Administration prior to the trip.
