Mission: Principle Covenant is a ministry first that partners with parents and supports them in their quest to lay the foundation of a Biblical worldview for their children and create disciples of Christ that are authentic Christian leaders who love God, love others, and serve joyfully. We educate the whole child with a well-rounded experience that incorporates faith, family and service in a non-denominational setting. We are guided by Truth, inspired by wisdom, and committed to living with honor. Our focus is on academic success and preparing our students to lead with purpose and integrity in living out God’s calling on their lives and empowering them to “Go and make disciples.”
- Proverbs 22:6 - Matthew 28:19
Vision: Create a vibrant school that creates disciples, shines the light of Jesus to our region, provides community to our families, and delivers excellent Christ-centered education to our students.
Beliefs:
We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit
We believe Jesus Christ is God, who died for our sins.
We believe Jesus rose from the dead and is alive.
We believe the Bible, alone, is God’s Holy Word.
We believe in the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ.
Core Values: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-Control, and Grit
Statement of Faith: This ministry believes that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and conduct.
Accordingly, based on Scripture, we believe:
- The Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (2Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
- There is only one God, eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30).
- In the deity of Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; 7:26-27); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (1Corinthians 15:3-5; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25—26; 1Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11).
- In the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God's grace and through faith alone we are saved (John 3:16-19; 5:24; Romans 3:23; 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5).5
- In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5: 28-29).
- In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9; 1Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 3:26-28).
- In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8: 13-14; 1Corinthians 3:16; 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30; 5:18).
- In the sanctity of life beginning at conception (Jeremiah 1:5; Psalm 139:13-14; Genesis 1:27; Exodus 20:13).
- In the Biblical definition of marriage, gender and sexuality as set forth below:
- We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female at birth. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Gen. 1:26-27). Rejection of one’s biological sex at birth is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
- We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture (Gen. 2:18-25). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1Cor. 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb. 13:4). We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.
- We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God (Matt. 15:18-20; 1Cor. 6:9-19).
- We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of PCCA as a distinctively Christian organization and to provide a Biblical role model to the school and communities it represents and to the community at large, it is imperative that all people affiliated with PCCA agree to abide by this Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality (Matt. 5:16; Phil. 2:14-16; 1Thess. 5:22).
- We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ (Acts 3:19-21; Rom. 10:9-10; 1Cor. 6:9-11).
- We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31). Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrinal beliefs in the NAUMS/PCCA Statement of Faith.
Non-Denominational Policy
This ministry's Statement of Faith is fundamental to basic Christian tenets and contains those doctrines we teach and to which we unreservedly adhere. It is our desire to maintain this position. In honoring this desire concerning the outreach of this ministry, there shall be no attempt made by the PCCA staff or board Members to promote or disparage any doctrinal or denominational belief, practice, or position regarding issues upon which the ministry itself has assumed no official stance. We desire to remain united in the salvation and love of Christ, avoiding the dissension that may be caused by denominational distinctives.
Non-Discriminatory Policy
Principle Covenant Christian Academy makes no distinction in its admission or operating policies with regard to an individual’s race, color, gender, national, or ethnic origin because we recognize that there can be no preferential treatment with God (Romans 2:11).
