Young carers - especially those under the age of 16 - are children and young people first. Just like you were once. They DESERVE to be heard, recognised and supported, and to NOT miss out on school and life opportunities because someone they love happens to be sick.
What we ask of you...
We call on you to recognise #EveryYoungCarer, especially those under the age of 16 (and especially girls - who forge the majority of Young Carers in the UK), by: (1) HELPING SCHOOLS identify Young Carers under the age of 16 EARLY. (2) FUNDING URGENT SUPPORT and RESPITE for ALL Young Carers. And (3) PROVIDING FINANCIAL HELP to Young Carers struggling with poverty (just like Audrey from "The Letter with the Golden Stamp").
