Before applying, please refer to the Important Information.
Who can apply for a tw! grant?
- Schools in support of children aged 7-16
- Schools in the UK and the US can apply.
- We support schools in receipt of 40% or more Pupil Premium, or equivalent figure (see below) and/or with 25% SEND students.
- If applying from the UK, we can only support grants for schools located outside of the M25. (If your school is based inside of the M25, you are not eligible to apply for a tw! grant, there are other resources available via Go Live Theatre Projects).
Pupil Premium does not apply to schools based in Scotland, Wales or the United States. Please use the equivalent values instead.
Scottish Schools
Use the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD) Scores instead of PP/FSM. Schools must be in the Data Zones of the top 40% of deprivation to be included, i.e. have a score up to 40 on the Scottish School Roll and Locations - data.gov.uk (column V).
Welsh Schools
We are aware that the Welsh government is moving towards universal primary free school meals, and this is to be rolled out across Wales, starting with the youngest in primary schools. Whilst we will continue to use FSM eligibility in the meantime, we will also refer to evidence as to whether a school is in a deprived area. The Welsh Government website provides this link - WIMD - Explore, which we advise applicants to review in respect of your school, and provide this supplemental information on the application form.
United States Schools
Please use the equivalent FSM/Title 1 figures instead of Pupil Premium, where relevant.
Application time frames
We review applications at the start of every month.
Submit your application form by the 25th of the month for consideration in the next month's application review meeting. Any applications received after this time will be considered in the following monthly review meeting. You will receive an update on the outcome of your application by email.
