Cheltenham Zero has secured £36,655 of funding for businesses through the UKSPF (United Kingdom Shared Prosperity Fund) for carbon reduction projects.

This grant will support Cheltenham borough-based businesses on their carbon reduction journey and add a boost to local SMEs seeking to reduce their energy and fuel bills.

The grant is available to all businesses within the Cheltenham borough, who meet the criteria detailed within the attached application guidelines document.

Applications will be assessed by a panel committee, including a technical expert.

Applications close on 30th September 2025, decisions will be made by end of October 2025.

Funding options

We are offering 3 ways to apply for funding

1. Capital energy sources such as Solar and Air source

2. E-cargo bikes to replace fossil fuel local deliveries

3. Lighting replacement to LEDs

1. Measurement for larger projects (i.e. Solar and ASHP)

As part of the application, you need to demonstrate understanding of which intervention will save your business the most carbon. Therefore, we are able to provide an 80% grant funded carbon reduction audit, conducted by Severn Wye Energy Agency, to help you determine where your biggest emissions are and how best to reduce these.

2. E-cargo bike applications
