OPM is pleased to announce a collaboration with the Dakota County Historical Society to offer an introductory Plein Air Painting workshop at the Henry Sibley House historic site. The workshop will be taught by St Paul artist Jack Dant, an experienced plein air painter who is also knowledgeable about historical plein air painting in Minnesota. The cost is $50 per person and open to all ages. Jack will demonstrate techniques in oil painting and provide oil and acrylic paint and supplies for participants. Art materials will be provided, including an 8x10 canvas for each painter. This workshop is open to all ages and could be especially enriching for inter-generational participants.
Participants should plan to arrive at 12:00pm. The class will begin at 12:30pm and end by 3:30pm. The park closes at 4:00pm.
