UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND GUEST SPEAKER RELEASE FORM

I hereby grant the University of New England (UNE) permission to use, encode, digitize, transmit and display the video or audio of my participation in the event listed below at the University of New England, as well as to use my name, voice, likeness, biographic information and ancillary material in connection with such video or audio.

GENERAL DISTRIBUTION

UNE extends many of its seminars and presentations by distinguished UNE faculty and guest scholars to the public for free through the UNE website (www.une.edu), the University of New England on iTunes U, YouTube and other Internet outlets. I understand and agree that UNE makes no warrantees or promises and is not responsible for any unauthorized use of my presentation through the distribution technologies described above, and I agree to hold UNE harmless from all such uses. If the Presentation and Presentation Materials are my own original material or material for which I have full authority to grant the rights set forth in this Release, I hereby grant University of New England permission to make the presentation or specific video clips from the presentation available to the general public through its website and/or through iTunes, YouTube or other Internet outlets via streaming media and/or physical media including download.

The rights set forth in this Release are granted on a royalty-free and irrevocable basis. I may notify UNE in writing to request that my presentation(s) be removed as soon as practical. However, I understand that copies of my presentation(s) or publicity materials that mention my presentations(s) will not be recalled and that UNE may not be able to remove cached copies of my presentations.

I hereby authorize the University of New England (UNE), and anyone acting pursuant to its authority to:

1. Record my likeness and voice on a video, audio, photographic, digital, electronic, or any other medium (“Materials”).

2. Use, reproduce, display, distribute, and make derivative works in any medium (e.g. print, digital, and/or any other media formats and platforms now known or hereafter devised) of these Materials, with or without mention of my name, and for any purpose that UNE, and those acting pursuant to its authority, deem appropriate. 

I release UNE and those acting pursuant to its authority from any and all claims, demands, rights, promises, damages and liabilities arising out of or in connection with the use or distribution of said Materials.

I understand that all such Materials, in whatever medium, shall remain the property of UNE.  I am granting this authorization voluntarily and I understand that I may revoke my consent in writing, at any time by delivering a signed letter to such affect to the Office of Communications at UNE. I further understand that if I submit such a revocation, it shall take effect from the date of receipt for future uses of the Materials but cannot retract Materials already in use or distributed.
