Nestled on the stunning shores of Llyn Tegid near Bala, Glan-llyn has been providing unforgettable outdoor experiences for young people and families since 1950. Today, it stands as one of Wales’s top outdoor education centres.

These experiences are perfect for building confidence and making memories together. Participation is always a choice — we encourage everyone to challenge themselves, but no one is ever forced to take part.

✅ Safety First
Our fully qualified, DBS-checked staff manage all activities with great care. They've also completed Disability Inclusion Training, and some hold Level 1 Makaton certification. While all activities carry some risk, your safety is always our top priority.

🛏️ Comfortable & Accessible Family Rooms
Enjoy cosy family rooms with ensuite bathrooms (shower included). Two rooms are fully wheelchair accessible and include wet rooms.

All activities are wheelchair accessible, ensuring that every member of the family can join in the fun.

🍽️ Four Tasty Meals a Day
We serve breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner, and cater to special dietary requirements including gluten-free, dairy-free, and Halal options.

🛋️ Relax & Unwind Together
Each block features a communal lounge with TV and a simple kitchen equipped with a kettle, fridge, microwave, and sink — perfect for late-night snacks or quiet evenings in.

We currently have 10 FREE subsidised children’s places (one per family), with hopes of securing more in the New Year.

Glan-llyn have generously reduced children’s places to £100 for families with two or more children.
