• Carnegie Carnival/CASA Prince & Princess Candidate Application

  • OVERVIEW & PURPOSE

Every year the Carnegie Visual Arts Center hosts Carnegie Carnival during the Mardi Gras season. During the season we have wonderful individuals, and some cute pups, that raise money for the arts and other local nonprofits.

We have King, Queen, Prince, Princess, Lady Barks-A-Lot, and Sir Bow-Wow candidates that run for the prestigious title of Carnegie Carnival Royalty.

The Prince and Princess candidates raise money for the Carnegie Visual Arts Center and CASA of North Alabama. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) advocates for abused and neglected children in the court system.

    A Few Details About Running...

Candidates fundraise independently to raise money for the Carnegie Visual Art Center and CASA of North Alabama. The top earner for Prince and Princess are crowned. The fundraising window typically opens December 1st and runs through the Friday before the big event on February 14th. If selected, a meeting will be held in October to discuss details more depth.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us a little more about yourself and why being a potential candidate is important to you!
