    3. Be unable to access traditional bank financing for their small business
    4. Not be in active bankruptcy, behind on child support payments or government taxes

  • 1. Consent to Contact Your References 

    During the process of securing a Rise loan, we may need to call two personal references who are not family members. You should start thinking about who your two references will be and be prepared to provide their name and contact information if requested.

  • 1. Consent to Pull Credit Report 

    As you are applying for a loan, Rise Asset Development uses your credit history to understand your obligations and your ability to take on additional debt. To make this assessment, we require a recent Credit Report and Credit Score that is dated no more than three months prior to review. Your credit report and score will be considered by us as part of our review process for your loan application in deciding whether to lend you funds. Rise requires your consent to pull your credit file from Equifax. Please note that this will count as a hard inquiry on your credit history.   • 2. Consent to Collection, Use and Disclosure of Your Personal Information by Us 

    We take your privacy very seriously. A full copy of our privacy policy is available upon request or by visiting our website at  www.RiseHelps.ca 

    For Lending Applicants 
    We will need to collect personal information from you to determine whether to make you a loan and if we do make you a loan, administer that loan and collect the loan from you if you fail to pay us. The information we collect may include but is not limited to your name, birth date, home address, financial status, bank account details for payments, your business plan and ideas for use of this loan, and medical information about you. 

    We will use your personal information for the following purposes: 

    Process your submitted application;
    To administer your loan;
    Build relationships, facilitate networking opportunities and match you with a mentor;
    Assist with administrative or technical support of your loan and business;
    Gather opinion and feedback through surveys;
    Comply with Canadian legal and regulatory requirements;
    To use in solicitations for fundraising, and for donor stewardship;
    Maintain statistical and record keeping operations.
     

    Your personal information may be collected, used or disclosed for any of the identified purposes set out above. We will not use or disclose it for other purposes without obtaining additional consent from you. 

    Please note that your consent is necessary for us to process your loan application and administer this loan if advanced to you. You may withdraw your consent at any time upon reasonable written notice, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Please note that the withdrawal of consent will affect our ability to provide you with the products and services that you would like to receive. 
    To achieve the identified purposes listed above, your personal information may be shared with third parties such as government or industry agencies, our bank processing your payments, mentors and advisors to your business, credit reporting agencies, insurers, financial products dealers and financial institutions. 

    Sometimes you may be working with a referral agency to help you prepare your business plan and start up your business. In this case, your personal information may be shared with this third party, based on your consent. 

     

    3. Canada’s Anti Spam Law 

    From time to time Rise Asset Development may wish to send you e-mails as part of the administration of your loan or participation in a Rise Training Program or to provide advice to your business. We also send out group e-mails providing information such as program updates, event information or other information of interest to our clients.

    We need to collect and use your personal information to process your application.

    To be considered for any Rise Program, you must consent to our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
