BASIC RULES
Teams can be comprised of 8 - 10 players – at least 4 females. Must be at least 16 years old to play. Any player under 18 must have written consent of a parent or guardian.
Offense: Teams are required to alternate between a female and male on offense. This means any female batter must be immediately followed by a male batter. Teams may bat any number of players (minimum 8) but they must bat in a male/female sequence. Any walk to a male batter will result in a two-base award (batter goes to 2nd base – must touch 1st base on the way). The next batter, a female, has the option to walk or bat, which must be declared before she enters the batter’s box.
Only two (2) out of the park home runs are allowed per game. A PLAYER can purchase additional home runs prior to the game starting. $10 for an extra homerun. HR are per player, not team. Any other balls hit outside the fence will count as an out.
No stealing bases.
Defense: When on defense, each position must alternate gender. If the player playing first base is a female, then the second baseman must be a male. The pitcher must be a male.
An out is recorded when a player strikes out, is tagged out while running to a base or if their ball is caught while in the air. Any ball hit within arm reach of the pitcher is an automatic out.
No metal cleats allowed.
Games will be played 6 innings or for one hour, whichever comes first.
There will be NO ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, OR DRUGS OF ANY KIND ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON THE PREMISES. No foul language will be tolerated. This is a family recreational event. Violation of any of these rules will result in a player being removed from the team roster and dismissed immediately by the umpire or event organizer without question.
