Meet Joshonda Owens, Founder and CEO of Optima Financial & Tax Solutions LLC and JMO Elite Tax Pro Software.
What started nearly 14 years ago with just 12 clients has grown into a thriving tax business serving hundreds of clients across all 50 states.
Joshonda built her business through consistency, referrals, continued education, and a commitment to treating every client like more than just another tax return. Her journey wasn’t built overnight—and that’s exactly what makes her passionate about helping other tax professionals understand the business behind the business.
Today, she uses her experience not only to serve taxpayers but also to train aspiring tax professionals, educate preparers, and provide professional tax software and resources to EROs and PTIN holders looking to build businesses of their own.
As a wife, mother, entrepreneur, and business owner, Joshonda understands firsthand what it means to build something while balancing real life. Her philosophy is simple:
