  • DOG INFORMATION:

Per County Code, all dogs affiliated with your kennel must be licensed.  You are allowed to license no more than your Planning Department Use Permit allows.  Effective 02/27/2025, there is no longer a “Kennel Animal” reduced fee animal license.

Dogs can be licensed at: YAMHILL COUNTY DOG CONTROL LICENSING/RENEWAL APPLICATION.  Proof of rabies and payment will be required.

Dog Control shall approve or deny an application made under this Chapter within 120 days of its receipt and the payment of the applicable fees, or the application shall be deemed approved for the current year, subject only to revocation as provided in YCC 4.05.06.08.

    # For any expired rabies, proof of rabies vaccination must be provided prior to license issuance. For any expiring rabies (prior to 1/31/2026), 2025 license will only be valid through the rabies vaccination expiration date; proof of new rabies must be provided at time of vaccination for license to remain current and valid (extended to 01/31/2026).

    * For any previously licensed dog that you no longer own, please provide the new dog owner information (which includes name, address, and phone number). This allows us to transfer the dog to the appropriate owner and will keep your account accurate.

** For any new dog not yet licensed, please complete the New Dog Registration Form; one copy is attached. You may make as many copies as needed or
visit our website (https://www.yamhillcounty.gov/707/Dog-Control) to print additional copies. Please remember to submit proof of rabies vaccination with
    the form and your payment.
