OneTeam College/University Scholarship Program
Kingdom Companies Group (Barnhart Crane and Rigging, Barnhart Energy Company, Diversified Conveyors International, ServiceMax Maintenance, ServiceMax Janitorial, Southern Systems Inc., Prolift Rigging Company, Blue Print Supply Chain) is pleased to offer the OneTeam Scholarship Award Program. This is an employee benefit program which is divided into three tiers and designed not only as a financial aid for eligible dependent children of KCG employees, but also a program to honor and recognize key people in whose name the scholarship is awarded for their significant contributions and service to the company. The specifics of this exciting program are as follows:
· Tier 1 ($2,400) - Richard and Nancy Barnhart Merit Scholarship: Based on academic progress, community involvement, and leadership development. Full application required. Essay portion of application is required for consideration. Two scholarships, per company, will be awarded annually. This can be used for tuition and fees, books, housing, and other direct educational expenses.
· Tier 2 ($1320) - J.T. Hill Award: Named after a former Barnhart employee. Based on academic progress, community involvement, and leadership development. Full application required. Essay portion of application is required for consideration. Two scholarships per company, will be awarded annually. This can be used for tuition and fees, books, housing, and other direct educational expenses.
· Tier 3 ($720) - Employee Appreciation Scholarship: Application required. Essay portion of application is not required. This can be used for tuition and fees, books, housing, and other direct educational expenses.
Student Eligibility – The scholarship award is available to dependent children (natural or legally adopted children or step-children, living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee) of full-time, permanent KCG employees who have completed at least 90 days of continuous employment. The eligible dependent child must currently be a full-time student (as defined by the institution) having completed one year of their college degree program and under the age of 23 for Undergraduate programs and 26 for Graduate degree programs. Students are eligible to receive up to 4 scholarship awards (max of 3 undergraduate awards).
Selection Criteria – Eligible candidates must complete the online application form and submit a recommendation letter on or by September 5, 2025. Recommendation Letters should be emailed directly from the individual making the recommendation to cares@kingdomcompanies.com.
Candidates must also submit copies of their academic records. For new candidates, these records must indicate a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale. For returning candidates, these records must indicate a weighted grade point average of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale for the last full school year. A third-party selection committee, independent of any KCG oversight or control, will review all essay applications and select tier 1 & 2 winners.
Institutional Eligibility – The program is open to students attending any accredited four-year college/university.
Scholarship Administration – The Cares Coordinator will oversee the administration of this program. Applicants must apply for the scholarship each year of eligibility by submitting an updated application, transcript, and new essay (if applicable) before the determined deadline. To ensure timely processing, applications must include the following payment details:
- Remittance Name – The recipient or department the check should be addressed to.
- Remittance Address – The correct mailing address for scholarship payments.
- Memo Line Requirements – Any specific details required by the institution, such as the student’s name and student account number.
Please download the Barnhart Vendor Form and have the finance department of the institution fill in the appropriate information. Please upload the completed Vendor Form at the end of the OneTeam Scholarship Application.
Failure to include Vendor Form could result in award checks being denied by the academic institutions. Please reach out to your school’s financial office to request these details.
