  • Saundersfoot Harbour Trailer Park Declaration (2025)

    Saundersfoot Harbour reserves the right to amend the Conditions & Regulations periodically or as is deemed necessary to ensure that the harbour can always operate viably and safely.
  • 1. CHARGES 2025
    The trailer park position allocation and applicable charges do not include a launching permit, slipway fees can be paid each time the vessel is launched or alternatively, a season launch permitcan be purchased.


    VESSEL INSURANCE
    Vessels must have appropriate insurance coverage for the entirety of the period the vessel is afloat and any time the vessel is within Saundersfoot Harbour boundaries, this is the responsibility of thevessel owners and operators. The harbour reserves the right to take legal action against any ownersor operators that fail to comply with this condition and to reclaim any such costs that are incurred in doing so.


    TRALER PARK FEES AND INSURANCE POLICIES
    Please note that remittance for a trailer park position Must Be Accompanied by a Signed Trailer Park Declaration Form. Failure to forward a signed copy of the declaration along with remittance may result in the available position being offered to the next interested party. For

    SECURITY & VALUBLES
    Vessel owners are strongly advised to remove any and all valuables from their vessels, this should include electrical items and fuel tanks amongst other things. Insurance approved hitch lock’s and wheel clamp’s should be fitted to trailers when unsupervised, this is at the discretion of the vessel owner who is responsible for the security of their own vessel.

  • Saundersfoot Harbour Conditions & Regulations

  • Vessels are only accepted at owner’s risk and subject to the Byelaws of the Saundersfoot Harbour and the following conditions and regulations.


    A vessel is only permitted to be left in or on the Harbour on the express condition that the Harbour will not be responsible for any loss or damage thereto or to anything contained therein or thereon or to any of the
    occupants thereof from any cause whatsoever.


    The Harbour shall not be responsible for any loss, damages, costs, or expenses which may be suffered or incurred by any third party whose vessel is damaged, lost or destroyed by reason of your craft breaking
    away from its mooring or otherwise.


    All leisure vessel operators and passengers are strongly advised to wear an appropriate personal floatation device whilst on board within the harbour limits (including any person preforming maintenance or repairs
    whilst afloat).
    Operators of mechanically propelled vessels are strongly advised to always use a safety lanyard
    (kill cord) when the vessel is under power, failure to do so could lead to accidents.


    Boat owners are reminded that they are responsible for:
    a) Adequate insurance for the vessel. (This must include salvage)
    b) Ensuring only persons over the age of 18 operate vessels within the harbour limits unless specifically named within their insurance certifications and approved by the Harbour Manager.
    c) We remind all running mooring holders that a PROPELLER GUARD must be used to protect other vessel users when engines are in the trimmed-up position. Failure to do so may result in mooring forfeiture.
    d) All vessels must be fended appropriately with a minimum of three fenders “must be an appropriate
    size to suit the vessel” each side.
    e) Correct use of mooring ropes ensuring that these are of the Non-Floating Type.
    f) Adequate bailing of rainwater to avoid sinking / listing of the vessel.
    g) Mooring line condition and preventative maintenance.


    If points c, d, e, f or g are inadequately maintained the Harbour reserves the right to rectify as required at the owner’s expense.

  • Regulations

  • 1. Breast ropes are only to be laid out in consultation with the Harbour Manager.

    2. No anchors to be laid within the Harbour without the Harbour Managers approval.

    3. No refuse of any kind is to be discharged into the inner or outer Harbour limits.

    4. No flush lavatories to be used on vessels within the inner or outer Harbour limits.

    5. No moorings are to be laid without the sanction of the Harbour Manager.

    6. Mooring lines must always be adjusted correctly to prevent boats yawing and damaging other craft moored alongside.

    7. Do not adjust other mooring holder’s lines without first consulting a member of the Harbour Staff.

    8. Masters of visiting vessels are to report to Harbour Manager / Mooring Officer upon arrival for berthinginstructions, to sign insurance declaration and for payment of dues, which are to be paid in advance.

    9. No vessels are to be permanently laid alongside any of the Harbour steps or the access pontoon.

    10. Owners or masters are to ensure that their vessels are adequately secured against bad weather, this includes adequate supervision during period of unfavourable weather.

    11. It is mandatory that all craft reduce speed to Dead Slow with no wake within the Harbour (as from the red and green channel markers) and Slow with minimum wake not exceeding 5 knots until clear of the
    yellow outer harbour speed markers.

    12. All leisure vessels should be removed from the Harbour (unless prior approval given) by 1st November, for mooring maintenance and may be returned after 1st May. Any leisure vessels remaining after this
    date will be subject to an overstay surcharge as detailed in the published price list.

    13. Contaminated bilge water (oil, fuel, antifreeze or any other harmful contaminant) is to be contained and removed from the vessel in an appropriate manner and must be disposed of in a responsible fashion,
    under no circumstances will it be permitted for contaminated bilge water to be discharged into the sea, any such cases will be reported to the MCA for investigation, any cost incurred during the investigation
    and cleanup including legal fees, will be recovered from the owner of the offending vessel withoutexception, this is applicable to all vessels within the harbour limits whether it be ashore or afloat.

  • Trailer Park Storage Declaration

    Declaration: - (May 01st 2025 – September 30th 2025)
  • I hereby declare that I have read, fully agree too, and subsequently fully understand the Conditions & Regulations set out by Saundersfoot Harbour Commissioners in relation to the allocation and usage of the trailer park here at Saundersfoot Harbour.
    I declare that I currently have and will continue to maintain adequate vessel insurance coverage throughout the entirety of the period the vessel is within Saundersfoot Harbour limits, I will comply with any request to supply evidence of insurance by Saundersfoot Harbour.
    I declare that I understand that it is my responsibility to maintain the vessels trailer to ensure it is fit for purpose and road legal, and that this includes maintaining the trailer to ensure it does not fail whilst in use. Saundersfoot Harbour accepts no responsibility or liability for the condition and upkeep of trailers, or vessels stored in the trailer park, this remains the sole responsibility of the vessel owner. Should an issue arise due to poor maintenance or neglect, it will be the liability of the vessel owner to rectify and damaged caused to other vessels or harbour infrastructure by way of covering cost or via insurance, the harbour reserve the right to investigate fully any failures and to take action if negligence is deemed the cause of the failure.
