Please ensure you have read through the entire
Spyglass Move Out guidelines prior to moving out.
- Notify landlord in advance of the exact day you plan to vacate.
- Turn in all front door, mailbox keys, and gate remotes. They must be turned in on or before the expiration of your lease and may not be mailed in later.
- All carpets must be professionally steam cleaned and free of spots. A receipt from a professional carpet cleaning company must be given. Should a carpet cleaning company not thoroughly clean carpet, the landlord will have it re-cleaned at the tenant’s expense.
- Sweep and mop bathroom and kitchen floors, including edges near baseboards and in all cabinets.
- All furniture must be clean (vacuumed and dusted).
- Stove, microwave, refrigerator, exhaust fan, window, and bath must be thoroughly cleaned.
- Do not turn the refrigerator off, simply defrost and turn to the lowest setting. Empty the ice maker and turn it off.
- Bathroom fixtures must be thoroughly cleaned and free of residue.
- Mini-blinds must be cleaned or replaced.
- All light fixtures, doors, baseboards, trim, registers and cupboards must be clean.
- Clean ceiling fan blades.
- Clean utility rooms and patio areas of all trash, potted plants, etc.
Exterior of the property must be clean and free of debris. This includes porches, decks, steps, and grounds adjacent to your unit.
- Remove all personal effects, food and trash.
- Leave the fire extinguisher.
- Leave remotes, power cords, and black contour boxes supplied by Spyglass/Cox Cable in all bedrooms and common rooms. Fees will be incurred if not left.

- Set the temperature of the AC above 72 degrees.
- If you are not on our utility package, power must be left in your name for 3 business days after your move out date.
- Cancel any renters insurance as of your move out date.
- Check your resident portal for any outstanding balances. Be sure to shut off any auto payments you may have set up.
- A charge will be made for mailing the move-out report by certified mail.
