This is one of Glenn School’s two fundraisers for the year. The event will occur in mid-March/April at Druid Hills Country Club. We need at least 30 volunteers for this committee. The primary responsibility for the volunteer is to contact five to ten assigned businesses and solicit donations for the silent auction. The committee meets periodically throughout the year, with the option to call in. Volunteers may also participate in a variety of smaller subcommittees to work on the venue, decorations, sponsorships etc. We need at least four chairs for this event.

  • Glenn Family Day

Family Day is a fun-filled Saturday morning on October 4, 2025, with family-oriented activities. It is a wonderful opportunity to get to know other families in the Glenn Community. Committee members help to organize and run the event.

  • Book Fair

The Book Fair is held in-person during the Family Day activities.  The Book Fair will continue on-line throughout the next week.  Committee members assist with the set up and selling of Paperpie books during the in-person event. The chairperson will assist the Director with communication to families about the events throughout the week of the Book Fair.  Proceeds are put in the Parent Council fund which benefit a variety of school programs.

  • Communications Committee

This is a small committee that works directly with the Parent Council and assists the Director to engage and inform the parents about the events at Glenn School. This group will take minutes during meetings and distribute to parents, send meeting reminders, assist with the Glenn School Directory, generate social media content and help with Parent Council Annual Fund communications.

  • Substitute Teacher

Glenn School needs substitutes that can come and work in the classroom when teachers are out sick. The hours are 8:30-12:30 weekday mornings. The pay is $40 per morning. There will be a coffee meeting and training at the beginning of the year for all parents who volunteer to sub. Please select the days that you are available.

The Room Parents are important assets to the teachers, by helping with activities throughout the year. They will plan a class budget and collect and manage funds for the budget for the year. They coordinate the food and crafts for class parties (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Holidays, and End of Year). Room Parents may also assist in contacting the parents in their class regarding other activities at Glenn, coordinate to provide teacher gifts and treats throughout the year. The Room Parent will also help to coordinate and collect items for a gift basket that is auctioned off at the Glenn Gala.

  • Parent Ambassador

This committee will help with Open Houses and Tours for prospective families. Volunteers will welcome new families and will be available to provide information throughout the school year.

  • Transportation City

Transportation City is an exciting Glenn School tradition that takes place in late January.  Parents transform the Fellowship Hall into a mini-city, where children can drive cozy coupes to places such as the veterinarian office, grocery store, car wash, and pizzeria.

  • Special Events

This ongoing volunteer opportunity provides support for various special events throughout the school year. Special Event Volunteers will assist with preparations, setup, and on-site coordination as needed for events such as school celebrations, picture days, and other school-wide gatherings.
