La Fonda Foundation is committed to supporting the upward mobility of hourly wage workers in New Mexico’s hospitality industry. Through a partnership with the St. Vincent’s Hospital Foundation, we are offering financial assistance to hospitality employees struggling with medical debt.

Eligible applicants may receive a medical debt relief amount ranging from $100 to $3,000, depending on their demonstrated need.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this support, you must:

1. Be an hourly wage worker in the hospitality industry, employed in Santa Fe County or any area north to the Colorado border in New Mexico.
2. Have been employed for at least 30 days with your current hospitality employer and work an average of 12 hours per week or more.
3. Be experiencing financial hardship due to medical debt.
Have outstanding medical debt with CHRISTUS St. Vincent Hospital
(Debt from other healthcare providers is not eligible.)

How the Application Process Works
1. Complete and submit this form.
2. Your application will be reviewed by representatives from La Fonda Foundation and St. Vincent’s Hospital Foundation.
3. You will receive confirmation of your application within 72 hours.
4. A decision will be made within 30 days of submission.
5. If approved, the awarded amount will be paid directly to the patient.
If denied, you will receive notification via email.

-Funding is not guaranteed and is provided as a grant—you will not need to repay it.
