2025 Garden Tour Information:
- 🌻 FEE: The Tour is Graciously Underwritten by Friends of OCNJ History and Culture, and Graciously Hosted by Passionate Gardeners. There is no cost to attend. You are welcome, actually encouraged, to make a donation to Tabernacle Baptist Church, a non-profit, which will be open from 2:00pm to 5:00pm for the First Tour of the Day. There is a donation box. If you haven't been inside this historic church, you are in for a treat!
- 🌼 STARTING TIME: 2:00PM - 5:00PM ~ Wristband Pick-up and Tour Map Available via QR code. Bring your Smart phone or Tablet. Check-in is located inside Tabernacle Baptist Church, 760 West Avenue (corner of 8th & West Ave). Suggest taking time to sit in the pews and read garden descriptions and plan your route.
- 🍦 KILWIN'S: While you are waiting to start the tour, or after the tour, stop at Kilwin's Ice Cream and Candy Store, at the corner of 8th and Wesley Avenue and show your Wristband for 10% off your order.
- 🫒 NEW ADDITION THIS YEAR: 3:00 PM Chicken Salad Late Lunch offered for a 3:00pm Seating on the first floor of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Homemade by the Ladies of the Church. You don't want to miss this delicious meal for $20. You must pre-register separately and you'll receive a link to pay in advance.
- 🌹 GARDEN TOUR TIME: 4:30PM - 7:30PM ~ Allow Time to Visit 10 Gardens. Please be respectful of the host's property. Do not pick the flowers. You will need the Wristband to enter. Do not arrive prior to 4:30pm.
- 🌻 MAPS: Bring your Cell Phone to get the Map & Garden Descriptions at the Church. No paper maps will be provided. There will be Yard Signs to indicate you are at the correct tour property. Do take lots of photos.
- 🦜 GETTING AROUND:
- Walking or Biking (Approximately 4-mile loop)
- Golf Carts/LSV (Make it Fun - Decorate your cart with flowers and lights)
- Driving - Keep in mind, it may be hard to park at certain locations.
- No Jitney Service.
- 🐝 RESTROOMS: Restrooms are Available only at the Church from 2:00-5:00pm
- 🌸 RAIN DATE: Thursday, July 10, 2025 - Check Facebook for Announcement.
- 🌻 PLANS CHANGED: Can't make it afterall? - Please update your Registration, so we can open your spot up to another attendee.
- 👗 ATTIRE: Have some fun with your garden party attire! Think fancy straw hats, gloves, floral dresses, men's Bermuda shorts and collared shirts, most of all comfy shoes for walking.
