Donegal Sports Partnership, through Playboard NI, will be hosting a "Play Leader" training event as part of the IFI Active Play programme.
The Active Play programme focuses on using the medium of 'Active Play' as a means of facilitating engagement within a cross community setting, developing personal skills and confidence while improving physical well-being and encouraging a healthier lifestyle.
The aim of the workshop is to facilitate, educate and support multi-generational play activities and events within a community setting.
Some of the topics covered in this workshop include: types of play, The 'Playwell' plate, creating a playful environment, and hosting playful events.
We are looking for volunteers to complete the training with the view to assisting the running of a childrens' Active Play programme in your local community during the Summer. The Programme will be supported by Donegal Sports Partnership and International Fund for Ireland with equipment provided to enhance the programme.
