Below is a list of our departments and the types of placement students they are currently able to support.
Please note: due to the volume of interest we receive, follow-up communication is only made if we are able to move forward and if placement space is available for the requested term. If you do not receive communication, it is likely that we do not have capacity for additional placement students.
Youth Department
Open to students from various educational backgrounds who are interested in youth-facing programs and services. There is a particular need for students studying Social Work, Child and Youth Care (CYC), or Mental Health and Psychology.
Seniors & Community Wellbeing
Best suited for students studying Social Services, Addictions and Community Support, or related fields.
EarlyON
Open to students enrolled in Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs.
Community Planning & Development
Ideal for students studying Urban Planning, Design, Social Work, or Social Service Work.
Settlement Department
For university or master’s level students, or those with strong administrative skills. Familiarity with settlement and immigration issues is an asset. Multilingualism is also an asset, particularly in languages such as Spanish, Arabic, Tamil, Yoruba, and others.
Communications
Open to college, university, or master’s students studying Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or Graphic Design.
Financial Empowerment and Problem Solving (FEPS)
Open to students with a background in Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
