Waste tanks MUST be pumped out prior to winterizing!

You can get a tag at the Gas Dock when you do your final pump out. Place this tag on the steering wheel so our technicians know its already been done. A handwritten note will suffice...we just need to know that its been pumped.

If we don't see a tag or note on the boat, the service department will asssume you need us to pump out your waste holding tank for a fee of $100

We will not call to verify if your tank has been pumped or not.

Leave batteries, hull plug, and keys in the boat!

*Marina Members should already have a set of keys in the office

Our technicians will not remove or store batteries! If you want to remove your battery(ies) for the winter, you must make arragements to do it yourself AFTER your boat has been winterized.

Remember: we cannot service your boat without the battery installed! A $50 service fee will be added to your winterizing charge if batteries have been removed prior to winterizing, as we will have to use our shop supplies to complete the job.

All shrink wrapping at the marina is done through the Boat Doctor. They will bill you separately for their services. We just get you on their schedule for WRAP! Other services (like cleaning) must be scheduled directly with the Boat Doctor. If you wish to use a different shrink wrapper, you must take your boat off site to have it wrapped.

The Boat Doctors bill length overall (LOA) for shrink wrap. With the advent of extended swim platforms, dinghy's, PWC and other boating accessories adding to the overall length of the boats, they want to make sure everyone is payng accordingly for their boat. They use a higly accurate laser measuring device to measure the length overall when wrapping each boat and bill accordingly.

Shrink wrapping will be completed as soon as possible in the order boats are scheduled to be pulled out. Unsuitable weather conditions may delay shrink wrapping.

*All boats are wrapped after pullout, unless you ask for a hold.

Putting a hold on your wrap puts you to the bottom of the wrap list. Your boat will not be taken off the hold until you notify the office.

The Boat Doctor guarantees its workmanship, but it is not responsible for vinyl enclosures, plexiglass windshields or windscreens, any equipment mounted on radar arches, hardtops, or pulpits (including but not limited to spotlights, radars, antennas, domes, glomexes, navigational lights, etc.). The Boat Doctor is not responsible for poorly maintained or aged boat components such as clear vinyl, zippers and snaps that may be past their workable life. The Boat Doctor is not responsible for how any items on the boat react to cold weather during the shrink wrap or shrink wrap removal process including but not limited to clear vinyl, zippers, snaps etc. The Boat Doctor does add ventilation to all boats but is not responsible for any issues arising from moisture. The Boat Doctor assumes all boats can withstand all aspects of shrink wrap and the shrink wrap process and is not responsible for any damage to the structures involved with the shrink wrap process including but not limited to railings, stanchions, cleats, etc. The Boat Doctor is not responsible for any damage that may occur when certain items need to be moved or that interfere with the shrink wrap or shrink wrap process including but not limited to dinghies, kayaks, jet skis, aqua mats, lily pads, etc. The Boat Doctor is not responsible for any issues arising from shrink wrap or the shrink wrap process and the various surfaces of the boat including but not limited to gelcoat, awl grip paint, stainless steel, woodwork, plastic, etc. The Boat Doctor is not responsible for acts of nature such as heavy snowfalls, high winds, etc. The Boat Doctor is not responsible for any damage that may arise on small secondary watercraft, inflatables, and dinghy’s due to the nature of how these watercraft can expand and contract with different temperatures and how they are parked under other boats that may shed snow and/or ice directly onto them. Please be aware of the added risk of cold weather to boats coming out the last two weeks of haul out or going in the first two weeks of launch.
