2025/2026 Toronto Buddha's Light Children Dharma Class Program

At Buddha's Light Children Dharma Class, our mission is to Nurturing Young Hearts with Compassion and Wisdom:

🌱 Cultivating Compassion: Through engaging activities and teachings, children learn to embrace the essence of compassion, fostering a deep connection with all living beings.

📚 Empowering Wisdom: In our classes, wisdom flourishes as children delve into the teachings of the Buddha, empowering them to navigate life's challenges with clarity and insight.

Children learn to incorporate these essential Humanistic Buddhism values through practicing the Three Acts of Goodness - Do good deeds, Speak good words, and Think good thoughts.

 

Highlight of the year ahead:

Buddha-Dharma stories, interactive discussion, mindfulness practice,
Buddhist etiquette, Arts & Craft, Temple Annual Special Events, End-of-Term celebrations.

AGE GROUP: 5-12 

 

Venue A:

Mississauga - Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto

       When: Sundays, Oct 5, 2025 ~ Jun 21, 2026

       Time: 9:45 am – noon

Venue B:

Markham Buddha’s Light Centre

        When: Sundays, Oct 5, 2025 ~ Jun 21, 2026

        Time: 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm

 

The program will be fully conducted in English. All students will be required to wear their Buddha's Light Dharma Class t-shirts to every class.

Note: Another application form for other siblings/relatives is still required. This is NOT an extended application for the sibling/relative of the applicant. This section is just a reference for the Temple.

同意條款 Terms of Agreement:

本人同意多倫多佛光山為本人或子女錄影、攝影等，作為公開展示使用。本人為子女於課室外的活動安全負全部責任，並隨時提供更新的相關資訊給與佛光山。

I hereby give consent to Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto in taking and using my or my children’s photographs (digital or hard copy, collectively called "Image") and videos/audio/mp3 (collectively called "Recording") for the temple's publications and displays. I understand that it is my sole responsibility to ensure my child's welfare outside the classroom and to provide up-to-date information to the administration in case of changes.

本人同意在任何情況下（間接或直接）多倫多佛光山的法師、老師、職員和義工，將不需負責本人或子女在寺院參加任何課程或活動時，所發生的個人財務上的損失，或個人身體上的損傷。

I hereby agree to release and forever discharge, Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto, its respective Buddhist Clergy, instructors, staffs and volunteers from all liability, whether direct or indirect, and hereby waive all claims, demands expenses, actions and cause of action which may arise from any injury to myself and my children; any loss or damage to personal property arising from, or in any way resulting from, my participation in the temple’s activities.

Registration Fee: $80 (whole year)
