The Pualiʻahu Workshop is supported by our sponsoring non-profit, Nā ʻŌiwi Kāne, and takes place in two required parts on Oʻahu in Honolulu, typically over weekends. Part One introduces foundational techniques and begins with a practice cape. After several weeks of independent work, Part Two includes turning in the completed practice cape—which is gifted to Nā ʻŌiwi Kāne—and beginning a full-sized cape. Attendance at both in-person sessions is essential to succeed, and applicants should be prepared to dedicate time to bundling feathers and completing their work between sessions.
