Colantuoni Supplemental Grant for Hunt Seat Riders Application
Thanks to a generous donation from the Colantuoni Family of Raleigh, North Carolina, the IEA is excited to offer a supplemental grant for financial aid applicants in the Hunt Seat discipline.
The supplemental grant will be awarded to one (1) or two (2) applicants per year (or until grant funds have been fully dispersed) who are approved for FULL assistance through the Benevolent Fund and who demonstrate a need level requiring additional funding to enable full IEA participation. The rider must demonstrate interest, ability and commitment to equestrian sports, and the Sponsoring Coach must support the rider as outlined in the IEA Benevolent Fund/Financial Aid application and generally supporting the rider’s passion to participate.
- Must apply for the IEA Benevolent Fund Financial Assistance Program with a Sponsoring Coach.
- In addition to the materials requested for the IEA Financial Assistance Program, the applicant must also submit the following:

Approval Period:
Applications will be reviewed immediately following the review of the Benevolent Fund / IEA Financial Aid applications. Riders who are awarded FULL aid by the Benevolent Fund Committee will be additionally reviewed for the Colantuoni Supplemental Grant if application and supporting materials are received by the deadline date of August 15th. The sponsoring coach of each rider-applicant will be notified of the award and can then notify the rider and the parent/guardian.
Payments:
The Sponsoring Coach will include related amounts on the Coach’s Reimbursement form that is used for financial aid recipients. Invoices
may be submitted monthly as lessons and competitions are attended, and approved payments will be mailed within 30 days of receipt.
