Grade Release Information: According to the Student Government Association Constitution, Article III, Section 3, sub-section A, item 2: All prospective and current members of the Student Government Association shall be required to sign a grade release form, thereby allowing the Senate Review Committee to view applicants’ cumulative grade point averages (GPAs) prior to applying for any position. This form may manifest itself as an individual release form or as a component of the election application or selection application. Failure to sign this form will make you ineligible for the following: Affiliation as a candidate, officer, cabinet member, justice or senator of the Student Government Association. In order to comply with the Educational Rights and Privacy Act (Public Law 93-380) passed by the 93rd U.S. Congress, as amended November 19, 1974, it is necessary for each member or potential member to sign the statement contained herein in order that the advisor can verify candidacy requirements and the Senate Review Committee can review students who fail to meet the minimum 2.5 GPA to remain in office. I hereby grant the Advisor to the Student Government Association permission to release my current semester grades and ensuing semester grades as long as I am a student involved with the Student Government Association of East Tennessee State University. I also authorize release of my early semester progress report in the event the Senate Review Committee requests it in conjunction with my SGA probationary status.
