General information:
Have you ever wanted to add colour to your jewellery?
Anodised aluminium offers an ideal way to do this without having to use expensive tools, materials, or processes required for more traditional methods, such as enamelling or resin.
Anodised aluminium has a thin surface layer that can be dyed to add lots of lovely colours to create pieces of jewellery, or small pieces of wall art from.
Your tutor will guide you through experimenting with plenty of small pieces of metal to try out colours and patterns, before you go on to make a final item, such as a bangle or pair of earrings.
Your tutor will provide sterling silver earring hooks and jump rings to complete your designs. This course is suitable for complete beginners or those with previous jewellery making experience. All you need is enthusiasm!
The course will run on Saturday 16th August, 10.00 - 4.00pm
The price of the course is £85.00 and this will include enough material for you to make a bracelet and a pair of earrings, plus a bit more for you to experiment on.
This price also includes morning and afternoon refreshments but will not include lunch but you are welcome to bring your own to eat here, alternatively the cafe at Elmslie will be open as part of Worcestershire Open Studios serving cheese scones and light bites.
Should you have time and wish to make additional items, the material cost for these will be at an additional charge, payable to the tutor on the day.
Once spaces have been allocated you will be asked to make full payment to secure your space; unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds but you will be able to nominate someone else if you are unable to attend.
Please note it is not viable for us to run this session with less than 5 students. If we have less than 5 we reserve the right to cancel this workshop. Maximum number of 7.
Many thanks! On payment, we will send you course information from the tutor, together with joining information etc. but please note we recommend tying long hair back and wearing closed toe shoes - just in case!
