OnlyDogs, LLC Boarding and Services Agreement

Please read this agreement carefully before signing. It contains importan policies, an assumption of risk, a release of liability, and authorization for veterinary care. 

Eligibility, Health and Disclosure

I certify that my pet: 

• is at least four months old;
• is up to date on rabies vaccination requirements;
• receives monthly flea/tick prevention; and
• has not displayed symptoms of a contagious illness during the 30 days preceding check-in.

OnlyDogs reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services for any dog when OnlyDogs believes doing so is necessary for the safety or well-being of the dog, other animals, or people. 

Health and Medication

I understand that OnlyDogs is not a veterinary facility and its staff are not veterinarians. OnlyDogs cannot diagnose medical conditions, and vaccination does not eliminate every risk of contagious illness.

I accept the risks associated with OnlyDogs adminstering medication according to the instructions I provide. I agree to disclose all medical conditions, medications, allgeries, mobility limitations, behavioral concerns, bite history, and other information that could affect my pet's care or participation. 

If fleas or ticks are discovered, OnlyDogs may require my dog be picked up or may administer appropriate treatment at my expense.

I understand that OnlyDogs relies upon the accuracy of this information to provide a safe environment for people and animals.

Veterinary Care and Emergencies

If my pet becomes ill, injured, or displays concerning behavior, I authorize OnlyDogs to contact a veterinarian and obtain care when reasonably necessary.

If an emergency occurs or I cannot be reached promptly, I authorize OnlyDogs to make reasonable decisions concerning emergency treatment and transportation. I accept financial responsibility for all veterinary treatment, medication, and transportation expenses incurred on my pet’s behalf.

I release OnlyDogs and its representatives from liability arising from reasonable emergency transportation or treatment decisions, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Assumption of Risk and Group Play

General Risks - I understand that boarding and related pet services involve inherent risks, including illness, injury, escape, property damage, and interaction with other animals and people. I voluntarily assume these risks and release and hold harmless OnlyDogs, its owners, employees, and representatives from claims involving injury, illness, loss, or death, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

I accept responsibility for injuries or damage caused by my pet. If my pet bites or injures a person or animal, I understand that OnlyDogs may contact animal control, health officials, or other authorities when required.

Group Play - If OnlyDogs determines that my pet is suitable for group play, I authorize my pet to interact with other dogs.

I understand that dogs naturally play with their mouths and paws and that supervised play can still result in minor scratches, nicks, soreness, or other injuries. Although OnlyDogs provides reasonable care and supervision, minor marks may not be noticed before departure.

OnlyDogs may separate or remove my pet from group play at any time.

Reservations, Payments and Scheduling

Payment - I agree to pay all boarding fees and charges for additional services or products damaged. Payment is due at drop-off unless otherwise stated. Accepted payment methods are cash, Venmo, CashApp, and credit card. Processing fees will apply to credit-card payments.

Reservations and Holiday Deposits - A reservation is not confirmed until accepted by OnlyDogs, appointment times are confirmed, and the required client forms are completed. 

Holiday reservations require a two-night minimum and a 25% deposit at booking. The holiday deposit is refundable when the reservation is canceled at least 60 days before the scheduled arrival date. Cancellations made fewer than 60 days before arrival will result in forfeiture of the deposit. A holiday no-show is responsible for the full amount of the reservation.

Non-Holiday Cancellations - Non-holiday reservations must be canceled at least five calendar days before the scheduled arrival date. Cancellations made fewer than five days before arrival, and no-shows, will incur a $50 cancellation fee.

Rescheduling does not restart the cancellation period. The original arrival date will continue to determine whether a cancellation fee applies.

Drop-Off and Pickup Appointments

Drop-off and pickup are by appointment only. Drop-off appointments are offered between 3:00-4:00pm. Pickup appointments are offered between 10:00-11:00am.

Arriving more than 15 minutes after a scheduled appointment will result in a $35 late fee.

A drop-off delayed by more than 30 minutes may need to be rescheduled. A late pickup may be rescheduled to the next available appointment and may result in additional boarding charges, including the late fee and another night of boarding.

Early Departure

Once a stay has begun, all reserved dates are nonrefundable. Picking up a dog before the scheduled departure date does not reduce the amount owed.

Personal Belongings and Media

Personal Property - OnlyDogs is not responsible for personal belongings that are lost, stolen, or damaged. Collars and harnesses may be removed during play or rest to reduce the risk of injury.

OnlyDogs strongly recommends removing GPS collars before arrival because they may become detached during play or exercise. OnlyDogs is not responsible for lost or damaged GPS devices.

Photo and Video Permission - OnlyDogs may take photographs and videos of your dog during their stay to share privately with you as updates. With your permission, we may also use some photographs or videos on our website, social media, or other promotional materials. 

Unclaimed Pets and Legal Terms

Unclaimed Pets - If my pet is not picked up as scheduled, and OnlyDogs cannot reach me or my authorized emergency contacts, I understand that OnlyDogs may exercise the remedies available under Virginia law, including applicable notice and unclaimed-animal procedures. I remain financially responsible for boarding, veterinary care, transportation, notices, and other reasonable expenses incurred while my pet remains in OnlyDogs’ care. 

In accordance with Virginia Code § 3.2-6520, if my dog remains unclaimed, OnlyDogs may send written notice to me at the address I provided. If I do not reclaim my dog within 14 days after that notice is sent, OnlyDogs may exercise any remedies permitted by Virginia law, including establishing a lien for expenses incurred and arranging for the dog's lawful sale, adoption or other placement.

I understand that failing to respond to OnlyDogs or retrieve my dog does not eliminate my financial responsiblity for charges incurred.

Dispute Resolution - Any dispute arising from this agreement or services provided by OnlyDogs shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable Virginia law and the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Judgment upon an arbitration award may be entered in a court of competent jurisdiction.

Entire Agreement and Continuing Effect

This document constitutes the agreement between OnlyDogs and the Owner/Guardian concerning the services covered by it. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Each time I bring my pet to OnlyDogs, I reaffirm this agreement and certify that the information I have provided remains complete and accurate. I agree to notify OnlyDogs of any changes before a future stay.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND SIGNATURE

I have read and understand this agreement. I sign it voluntarily and agree to its terms to the fullest extent permitted by law.
