    Synod of the Mid-Atlantic Registration Form
  • The 256th Synod Assembly will be held in person at Drury Plaza Hotel (11049 West Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA) and will be convening from Monday, September 8th at 9am to Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, adjourning by 1:00pm. You are also welcome to arrive Sunday, September 7, 2025, in order to rest and relax before the event begins. Please indicate whether you intend to attend this Assembly.

    Additionally, this form allows you to register for the Assembly and for overnight accommodations. Please use this form to register no later than Monday, August 25, 2025 if you will attend so that provisions and preparations can be in place to warmly welcome you. Registration closes on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 (4pm EST).

    The Synod has reserved a block of rooms between September 7 and September 9 at a discounted group rate. If you choose to register through the Synod you may take advantage of these rates: the Synod Reimbursement Policy will apply. Alternatively, you may contact Drury Plaza directly to arrange your own overnight accommodations.

    Once your registration has been received, you can look forward to an email on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, with guidance on how to access the Assembly document webpage (for the docket, reports, minutes, etc).

    This year, the Synod is providing shirts to all commissioners and committee members. We also have some extra, which will be set aside on a first register, first serve basis. Please indicate on the form what size shirt you would like.

  • Please read this before making selections regarding overnight accommodations

    It is the policy of the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic to cover certain travel expenses for Synod Commissioners and Committee Chairs. The Synod has secured rooms at the Drury Plaza Hotel for $126 per night; this rate will be used to calculate room costs and is available to those registering for overnight lodging using this form.

    The Synod will cover:

    • Travel mileage
    • Travel meals (excluding alcohol) up to $47 per day
      • Breakfast-$10, Lunch-$12, Dinner-$25
    • 1/2 of room costs for single occupancy  -$63
    • Full room costs for double occupancy    -$126

    The Synod does not cover:

    • Observers
    • Presbytery staff and agents
    • General Assembly staff and agents

    The NGI committee is meeting Tuesday, September 9, through Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Drury Plaza Hotel directly following the Synod Assembly.

    Please use this portion to register for the meeting and to request overnight accomodations if required.
