  • Welcome to the City of Santa Fe Office of Economic Development's Go Local, Go Different Fund – Community Investment Program

The City of Santa Fe’s Office of Economic Development (OED) works to strengthen a resilient local economy where businesses, workers, and communities can thrive. Through the Go Local, Go Different Fund via OED's Community Investment Program, the office supports projects, events, and partnerships that foster local business growth, strengthen workforce participation, activate neighborhoods, and contribute to the cultural and economic vitality of Santa Fe. Funding decisions are guided by the City’s adopted Economic Development Plan and Economic Development Fund Ordinance.
  • The Go Local, Go Different Fund focuses on smaller-scale, community-based investments that support local businesses, entrepreneurship, workforce participation, placemaking, and local economic vitality.

All funded activities must demonstrate a clear public benefit and a meaningful connection to Santa Fe’s local economy.

    Program Structure
To balance support across different types of initiatives, the Go Local, Go Different Fund offers two tracks:

Track A: Community & Economic Development Projects

    • Supports programs and initiatives that build long-term community and economic value, such as business support activities, workforce development efforts, entrepreneurship programming, placemaking initiatives, and sector-based collaborations.
    • Funding requests may be up to $10,000.

Track B: Event & Activation Sponsorships

    • Supports public-facing events and activations that increase foot traffic, promote vendor participation, encourage local spending, and contribute to Santa Fe’s cultural and commercial vitality.
    • Funding requests may be up to $5,000.

Funding is competitive and subject to availability.
