For the Guardian-Home Program, we require that you:

    1. Live within the greater Elk Grove (or within an hour's drive) area.

    2. Own your own home.

    3. Have physical fencing to provide a safe and secure environment for the Dog.

This also protects the Dog from any unplanned, unwanted pregnancies and is crucial!

    4. Never leave the Dog off-leash in an unsecured area. NO dog parks allowed!

    5. Have reliable transportation and willingness to bring the dog to us as needed throughout the year for breeding purposes (i.e., testing, breeding, litters, etc.).

    6. Maintain open lines of communication with us concerning any matter related to the Dog.

    7. Keep the Dog on quality food such as: Taste of the Wild, Open Farm, and Orijen, or otherwise agreed upon.

    8. Understand that the breeder may need to make decisions about the female or male, and you will have to respect those decisions. Examples may include, but are not limited to: keeping the female longer, additional vet care, etc. All decisions WILL ALWAYS BE for the betterment of the Dog.

  • Anticipated Breeding Period

The Dog is anticipated to enter the breeding period after all required health, genetic, and veterinary clearances, which will be covered by the Breeder.

The expected breeding window for a female Dog generally begins at 10-12 months of age. Given an average estrous cycle of approximately 6 months, the breeding program is typically expected to be completed by approximately 3 years of age.  The Dog will be bred a maximum of 4 litters.  Final determination of breeding timing, frequency, and continuation remains at the sole discretion of the Breeder and may be adjusted based on health, temperament, veterinary guidance, or program needs.

The Breeder reserves the right to delay, reduce, or discontinue breeding at any time if it is deemed in the best interest of the Dog.
