1. Verify Space for required network rack. Including room and door dimensions. What type of flooring for mounting.
2. Assess ventilation and cooling.
3. Check Power Availability.
4. Document Current Firewall/Switches
5. Identify modem location and dmarc location.
6. Capture current IP scheme and VLANS.
7. Perform a speed test on the existing internet connection. Document info regarding the connection. Modem brand model s/n. static ip?
8. Count existing drops and label status.
9. Document any vpns and port forwarding rules.
10. Run advanced ip scanner on all subnets.
11. Measure office for potential long distance runs. Note the ceiling type and any issues running cables.
