  • When we are communicating with people with dementia, the best way is to ask lots of questions that rely on their memory (e.g. “Do you remember what Theresa told you about how you already ate breakfast?”)
  • People with dementia cannot communicate what they want or don’t want.
  • When a person with dementia says the same thing over and over again, this doesn’t mean anything - it is just a behavior of dementia.
