“As a Health Science Consultant with the Career and Technical Education Division at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, I had the opportunity to attend the NC Alliance for Health Professionals Pathways Summit, where I shared our efforts to provide high school students with opportunities to explore careers in healthcare. During the Summit, I connected with other professionals who share the goal of introducing healthcare careers to underserved and underrepresented populations. A highlight of the event was seeing high school students interact with healthcare professionals who reflect their backgrounds, offering them inspiring examples of successful careers in highly sought-after roles.”
