  • PROSPECTUS

    Armory Art Center invites artists statewide to submit up to three (3) artworks to this juried show. 

    THEME

    TOOLS AND TABLE :

    It showcases the diverse ways artists have depicted or created functional tools, dishware and serving pieces used to make or serve food or enhance and table setting in various media, exploring themes from cultural significance to mass consumption. This exhibit features a wide range of works in various media, offering a multi-sensory experience that stimulates visual and intellectual curiosity. Examples: a dining set of dishes, a cutting board, a table, rolling pin, bowls, metal napkin ring, wooden spoons, tea sets, woven table cloth, glasses, marble for making bread or dough. Think about cooking and dining...what do you use in those settings to make, create or enjoy food and eating. 

     

    The Tools and Table exhibition will be held in our East gallery. In the Montgomery and Greenfield galleries, an exhibition entitled "Bread and Butter" by Ashleigh Walters will be displayed with a focus on food-related art. In addition to the reception, we will host a ticketed event in partnership with Palm Beach Harvest called "Supper"—details to follow. 

    DATES TO REMEMBER

    Submission Deadline | Friday, Feburary 13, 2026
    Notification of acceptance | No later than Feb 20, 2026

    • EXHIBITION | March 16 - May 8, 2026
    • Reception | April 10, 2026 
    • Drop Off | March 11-14 (late drop-offs will not be accepted)
    • Pick Up | May 9 and 11 (All work must be picked up this day or artists will be charged $10/per day for storage)
    • Shipping | Artist is responsible for all shipping/delivery costs both ways. 

     

    ELIGIBILITY
    This call is open to artists statewide, both amateur and professional 18 years old and up. 

    RULES
    You will be asked to submit up to two (2) pieces to be considered.

    Applications are reviewed based on the works submitted. Your work will be judged individually. This jury type allows artists to submit up to two pieces to be considered. Jury has the option to select none of your work or both works. 

    Work must be original work that is copied or done in part or by any other artist is not eligible. Open to ALL fine art mediums (oil, acrylic, water media, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, wood, ceramics, digital art, etc.

    AI will not be accepted. Sets should be uploaded as a single image: i.e. a place setting may be a a matching dinner plate, bowl and salad plate  can be one item. A bread knife and cutting board can be one item. In terms of selling they can be sold separately or as a set that is the artists decision. 

    SELECTION PROCESS
    The show is curated by Armory Art Center Staff and is juried by Armory Art Center Staff along with an anonymous juror. Please note that jurors give no personal feedback.

    ​ENTRY PROCEDURE
    Entry is done through JOTFORM, a web-based service that allows artists to upload images and organize their artwork for submission.

    MEDIA PREPARATION
    Submit properly cropped images of your work that are in focus and high quality. Your work will be judged by the images submitted.

    All images must be formatted correctly. Formatting requirements are listed in the submission packet. 

    NOTIFICATION  
    Notification will be sent by email. 

    SALES
    All artwork must be for sale. The Armory will handle all sales and provide a commission payment to each artist who sold work. All commission checks will be processed after the close of the exhibition. Artists will be asked to provide the Armory with a W-9 only if they sold artwork. You will be contacted if we need this information. The commission at the Armory is a 60/40 split: 60% to the Artist. 

    GIVING BACK
    If an artist would like to donate a portion or all of their commission from a sale to the Armory, they will receive a tax donation. 

    REGULATIONS
    By entering the Armory Art Center's call for art through JOTFORM, you are agreeing to be added to Armory's email list. By submitting images, you agree that the images are your own work, nothing copied, you own all rights to the images, and you take full responsibility for the content of all images, including the likeness of recognizable individuals. The actual artwork will remain the property of the artist; our mission is to promote artists and their work. Should your work be accepted, you grant the Armory Art Center the right to reproduce your image on our website, on social media, and, where appropriate, to help promote our exhibitions. The Armory will always credit you and your copyright wherever feasible. We will not use your image for any other purpose without the artist’s permission.

    EXHIBITION AGREEMENT
    If any of your work is accepted, this submission will serve as your agreement.
