  • About the Residential Air Filtration Program:

The Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District (District)'s Residential Air Filtration Program provides free, high-quality air filtration devices and replacement filters to eligible households on a first-come, first-served basis. Each household is eligible to submit a single application.

Participants in the program will need to pick up the devices in-person during distribution events in West Sacramento, Rio Vista, or at the District's office in Davis. If you miss the pick-up event you sign up for, you will have 30 days to pick up the device at the District's office.

If you have any questions about this program, please email airfilter@ysaqmd.org.

    General Eligibility Criteria:

In order to be eligible to receive an air filtration device, a household must:

    • Be located in Yolo County or the northeastern portion of Solano County, including Dixon, Vacaville, and Rio Vista (see map below or email airfilter@ysaqmd.org to determine if your household address is located within the Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District); and
    • Have not previously received an air filtration device from the Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District.
    • Agree to operate the device for at least one year.

  • Is Your Household Located Within an Eligible Area?

  • The District received significantly more applications for this program than was originally expected. Because of grant funding constraints, we now only have devices available for applicants who live on tribal land or in a state-designated disadvantaged community.

We do not have devices available for residents of Davis, Dixon, Woodland, Winters, or Vacaville at this time.

Please enter your address into the map linked below to determine if it is located on tribal lands or within a state-designated disadvantaged community, which includes all of Rio Vista and the northern portion of West Sacramento. Eligible areas are shown in green and yellow on the map.

  • If you need assistance using the map above, please email your household's address to airfilter@ysaqmd.org.

  • Unfortunately, your household is not currently eligible to receive an air filtration device through this program. Due to funding availability, only households located on tribal land or in state-designated Disadvantaged Communities, as shown in the yellow and green areas of the previous map, are eligible at this time.
